The sun is poking through the clouds, Spring is in the air and dusting off the Summer wardrobe is in sight… aka the perfect time for pastel nails!
Barry M feature a wide variety of nail polish from matte to a high shine gelly in a whole spectrum of colours plus effects such as sequins and glitters, two tones and textured. But last month they introduced what we have all been waiting for, a Speedy Dry range! I have so many different Barry M nail varnishes that when I went in to Boots and saw a Speedy Quick Dry, I thought this could be the perfect addition to my collection and had to give it a try.
I love having my nails painted and experimenting with a variety of different designs and colours. BUT I hate waiting for them to dry. It takes so long and you can’t do anything while you wait. Then finally when surely they must be dry, you go to pull up your tights only to realise it has smudged off the nails, up your hand down your tights. Time to practically start the painfully slow process again, only for it to then, after ALL that, chip a few days later.
But Speedy really does live up to its name. It has a slightly thicker consistency than other Barry M nail varnishes that I found coated the nail really well in only a couple of strokes and an innovative new flat brush allowed for easier application and a precise finish. It, of course, also dried in record time, without feeling tacky at all, lasting beautifully without chipping for days.
The range consists of nine on-trend pastel colours, of which I decided to give lilac a go first. To tie in with the Speedy name is a car racing theme. The lids are adornerd with a checkerboard print and the names of the polishes include Lap of Honour for Lilac and Kiss Me Quick for Pink, as well as the likes of Road Rage, Eat My Dust and Full Throttle.
Whether it’s the speedy dry you are after or a pastel shade for Spring, these Barry M nail polishes are perfect. I think I’ll be investing in a few more colours from this range soon because, if the name is anything to go by, I predict these will be flying off the shelves fast!
Each polish is a reasonable £3.99, and they are currently available at 2 for £7 in Boots or part of the 3 for 2 on all Barry M make-up in Tesco’s. The perfect time to treat yourself, or perhaps your Mum in time for Mother’s Day?
